Circular economy: the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies participates in Ecomondo, the international event for technologies, services and industrial solutions in the Green and Circular Economy sectors

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Sustainability and Climate (CISC) at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa is participating in Ecomondo, the leading international event in Europe and the Mediterranean basin for technologies, services and industrial solutions in the Green and Circular Economy sectors, scheduled to take place in Rimini from 4 to 7 November 2025. Now in its 28th edition, Ecomondo is a meeting point and forum for dialogue between industries, stakeholders, policy makers, opinion leaders, local authorities, the world of research and institutions.
There are many initiatives involving the Sant'Anna School, represented by Prof. Marco Frey, coordinator of CISC, and Fabio Iraldo, Pro-Rector for the Valorisation of Scientific Research Results and Social Impact. Among the topics addressed are the decarbonisation of businesses, the development of a sustainable agri-food system, economic circularity and technological innovation.


Events in which the Sant'Anna School is participating

Marco Frey and Fabio Iraldo will speak and coordinate two panels organised in collaboration with ENEA: “Measuring circularity from a systemic perspective and along the entire value chain” (6 November, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), dedicated to methods and tools for assessing the circularity of products and services, with a particular focus on LCA indicators and emerging international standards. ; Measuring and communicating corporate decarbonisation processes through innovative tools" (6 November, 2:30-4:30 p.m.), focused on measuring carbon footprints and the opportunities offered by digital technologies for transparent communication of corporate decarbonisation pathways.
